Puzzle Cabbage Patch
Artist Edith Bingham
Type Teaser
Catalog Picture

This was a special treat, I love Edith Bingham's art style so discovering a "new" to me Edith teaser to play when swapping was a real treat. This compact 40 piece teaser packs a nice punch of rabbits trying to eat leafy cabbage. At only 1 sword there isn't too much of a challenge (for me :D) but it was very satisfying to put together.

It is also nice to discover another teaser at one of the lower price points which now seems to have crept up to $145 from $125 when I started collecting and there were only ~4 Candy Thun teasers for $125. It would be nice to see a handful of Stave's back around the "magical" $99 price point especially for gift giving as opposed to collecting. Some of the old catalogs I scanned seemed to suggest that that was the original purpose of some of these teasers but as the price has slid up it is harder to justify as a gift since breaking the $100 mark is hard.

Anyhow, this is supposed to be a review so let's focus back on that, great art and theming with some nice head fakes for 1 sword, pick this puppy up.

What A Tweet, along with Fishbowl Frenzy, is a great intro to Tricks imho. But for an aficionado like yourself, probably not too challenging. Beautiful artwork as you say. Spinning A Tail and Those Blooming Cats were more of a challenge for me. They were my version of the circus train series when it came to introducing me to Tricks. I still enjoy doing them one after another and having the four of them displayed on my table.

Anyway I digress. Have you done any other puzzles with Edith's artwork, apart from Cabbage Patch and What A Tweet?

Nice to hear from you David.... I got What a Tweet, need to do a review, finished it in under an hour... gorgeous though. Still cranking through "Little House of Horrors"

Hey Erik. Nice review as always. I've often considered this one. I too love the artwork, but at one sword and only forty pieces, I'll probably pass in favour of a larger puzzle.

Didn't you have one of Edith's cat tricks on order? Has it arrived yet? If so, what did you think? I've done all four now (over nine months or so) and love them as a collection. Must write some reviews, but am in Delhi at the moment, and away from my Staves.

Congratulations to the Winner
