Thanks, I sent them in today with the tabs. Am wondering what my total points are at this point.

OK, now I feel like a complete idiot! Yesterday when I was playing the game, I was gobbling up all the turkeys (perhaps since I am a complete one myself!) That put me into negative numbers so of course, no coupons were showing up!! And I was so prou…

As you play the game and score a certain amount of points (The point levels are written right above the game window and change daily. Today Nov. 1st for example, the coupons appear at 300 and 700 points.) a window will pop up and give you the coupon…

When purchasing the puzzles on line, one of the last screens before you finalize your purchase (I think it's on the same screen as your credit card info) is a section for coupons. You would add the 30% coupon code in that section. Hopefully, that wo…

Circus Train Weekend

Getting the family together to put together the Circus Train was almost as hard as Roo Romp but we did it! With the kids home for Thanksgiving, we sat down to a Saturday morning brunch, each person had a puzzle at their place. After some eggs benedict and champagne, we got started on the Circus Train. By the way, I don't recommend puzzling and champagne, certainly not Stave puzzling! It took us two days to figure out Steve's tricks and to complete the train but we did it! You can see our work on… Continue

Help Needed

Being new to trick puzzles, you'd think I'd be smarter than to start with Empress Pearl. Well, I'm not!

I've put EP together and have ended up with 3 circles of legs...just like the photo on Stave's website, so I know it's not right. I became so frustrated I flipped the puzzle over to put it together while looking at the grain. That didn't help. Still ended up with the 3 circles. Can anyone give me a hint....not the answer but a hint on how to proceed?

Hello!
I am sorry that I didn't get back to you last week. How was your Labor Day Weekend? I spent Saturday and Sunday cleaning and weeding during the day. I hate that puritan work ethic instilled in me that I can't play until I get my chores done!!! 'Flew the Coop' sold for more than you could buy it at Stave! Crazy. Last night in a moment of insanity I bought Champ!! If you are struggling with Empress Pearl than why did I buy 'Champ'? Of course this morning 'Metamorphis' was listed. I should have waited and started there. Oh well. After you get settled this week at school give me a ring. Let's get together for a cocktail and a 'cocktail puzzle'!

Hello!
THe Market went well; we had a great turnout; the weather was perfect-too much sunshine sends shoppers looking for shade. Just got back from our trip to Maine-assembled 'See the Raindeer' on the porchof the Blair Hill Inn and found a Stave Puzzle on a bookshelf that was just waiting for me to assemble it. I'll check out the puzzle on Ebay--there is another-brand new: Flew the Coop, as well. Call me this week if you get a chance. Do you start school this week? ----Hope you party went well; I am sorry we couldn't attend.

My husband gave me Fanteaseya for Christmas; it is not blue as depicted in the catalog. Yes they are addicting. [I started doing again.] I bought 'Have a Ball' in March [I saw your website and saw that you bought it as well!] It was fun, but I wanted something more challenging so I bought 'Pheasantly Pleasing'. Where I timed the assembly of the other puzzles on my iPhone, on this one I gave up trying to time it. It kept me busy for a month!

The Pitcher Inn in Vermont has a collection. We spent a few days there in the fall and I did them all. I am campaigning for Twin Farms or Blackberry Farm Puzzle weekends, but my husband doens't want to be a 'widower'.

I am in the phonebook...Buell Hill, not likely to be in the house during daylight I seem to have lots of weeds and I want to go kayaking. Call if you like.

Hi Kathy,

Thanks so much for contacting me. I love your idea of sharing and wish I had more puzzles! I only have 2, one which I am working on now, which is personalized and we will frame. The other is a brand new one that was actually named by my husband at the puzzle party back in March, Some Fins Fishy. Wish I had more to offer you! How did you get into Stave puzzles?

Oh good for you! And yes, I must concur...Stave does an outstanding job with personalized puzzle gifts! They really make for wonderful mementos of special occasions! So...which puzzles do you have on order? :-)

I am a newbie to Stave puzzles only having learned about them a couple of years ago. I recently attended tje Blackberry Farm Puzzle Party so I have been quite fortunately to have been given the opportunity to complete quite a number of them. I have also been an active buyer and have bought every chance I get (and have been most active in buying puzzles when they have become available during Wacky Wheel Deals and Freaky Fridays.). Needless to say I have been going hog wild this month!

For the large traditionals: eBay. Figure out your maximum price and bit it and move on.

Other than that, I've been successful at doing some swaps with other puzzle nuts, but it can be a bit nerve wracking if you don't know the people. My other solution has been to order smaller puzzles.

Nice to see you getting started with some stave puzzles after all the years of waiting. I've never made the pilgramage to VT/Stave HQ, it's on my list.

As for puzzle suggestions you can see catalog pictures of ones I've done here erik's list and ask me.

Also there are now 30+ reviews on this site, blog posts mentioning review for some color commentary too.

My personal teaser favorite remains Turtle Soup for what it's worth since it was my first "real" Stave ordered as a gift for me and it took me and some family members close to 3 hours.

If you are willing to spend a bit Treasure Trove is a great collection of teaser elements so for your ~1000 you get well more than 3x300 worth of teaser elements. And a very light trick element that is nice to figure out.
